As the Founder & CEO of Urban Design Center (UDC), Sherri Franklin champions its core mission to provide strategic thought leadership to non-profit organizations, government agencies and private developers working to catalyze resilient rebranding of urban environments and to create economic opportunities for people of color. Over the past 33 years, UDC has managed the entitlement, capital development of over $200 million and the project management of affordable housing, infrastructure improvement and economic development projects totaling $1 billion. UDC is currently serving as the community development advisor to Pantheon Development for the Stocker Street Creative sound stages and production studios being developed in Baldwin Hills by impact investor 4S Bay Partners. In 2023, Sherri collaborated with Kimberly Brown, Carlton Jenkins and Frederick White to form Housing Impact Partners (HIP), a strategic alliance working to catalyze the production of housing through leadership, legacy partnership and capital formation with triple bottom-line performance.
