Bryce Turner is the President of BCT Design group and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. He has directed the planning and design of projects in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Bryce is passionate about mixed-use and commercial real estate developments that promote socialization and reinforce community and enjoys researching the lifestyle trends that impact these places. He and his associates have led the design of significant projects such as National Harbor and Fairfax Corner in Washington, DC metro area, and more recently completed the adaptive re-use of office buildings to multi-family residential in Baltimore; the 32 story 10 Light Street (originally built in 1929) and 2 Hopkins Place which is ten floors of multi-family above ten floors of commercial office.

An advocate for smart and sustainable growth, Bryce sits on the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) National Redevelopment and Reuse Council and ULI Washington’s and ULI Baltimore’s District Council Advisory Boards. He has also served on the Maryland Sustainable Growth Commission.

Bryce is a graduate of Virginia Tech’s College of Architecture and Urban Studies and is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

The unfolding story of declining office use, rapid civic change, and shifting work patterns has created an obvious (and yet to be fully defined) need for adaptive reuse in city centers, suburban office developments, and smaller markets alike around the country. In addition, the remote and hybrid work trend that accelerated during the pandemic resulted in net migration away from gateway cities to secondary cities and emerging markets.
