She is the former President of Touchstone, a leading developer in the Seattle region, which delivered more than 2Bn in development under her leadership and won the national Developer of the Year award. She serves on several corporate and non-profit boards and is the author of The Carbon Efficient City, published by University of Washinton Press. She also taught a graduate course in land use economics at the University of Washington for 9 years.

Jurisdictions throughout the US are adopting the tall wood building code provisions based on the 2021 International Building Code. Developers can now consider timber structures from heights of eight to eighteen stories and beyond with alternate means.
