Sara is a Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Equity for MetLife Investment Management’s (MIM) Real Estate. She is responsible for leading MIM’s approximately $40 Billion direct property investment platform and investing on behalf of the MetLife general account and third-party institutional investors.
Prior to joining MIM in 2021, Sara was Head of North American Business with Mapletree Investments a global real estate development, investment and capital management company headquartered in Singapore. Prior to Mapletree, Sara was at Brookfield Property Partners as head of asset management for the company’s U.S. office portfolio, in addition to overseeing strategic planning and management of their expanding closed-end accounts business. Before Brookfield, she held a variety of asset management and portfolio management roles at Clarion Partners and started her asset management career at MetLife.
Sara earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics and History from Wellesley College. She is an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Master of Science of Real Estate Development (MSRED) program.
Sara is active in numerous real estate organizations and is currently a ULI Global Governing Trustee. She is also a member of Trinity Church Wall Street’s Vestry, overseeing a $6 Billion endowment. Sara was the 2017 WX (Women Executives in Real Estate) Woman of the Year.
