Sara Queen is head of equity strategies for MetLife Investment Management’s Real Estate group. Sara is responsible for leading MIM’s direct property investment platform, investing on behalf of MetLife’s general account and third-party institutional investors. Sara joined MIM in March 2021.
Previously, she was head of Mapletree’s North America business. Prior to Mapletree, Sara spent 11 years at Brookfield as head of asset management for the U.S. office portfolio, in addition to overseeing strategic planning and management of its expanding closed-end accounts business. Before Brookfield, she spent nine years at Clarion Partners in asset and portfolio management. Sara began her career at MetLife, before departing to pursue her MBA.
Sara serves as a ULI Governing Trustee and a senior advisor to the NY District Council. She is a member of Trinity Church Wall Street’s Vestry serving on the investment committee overseeing its $6 billion endowment. She is a former WX Woman of the Year (2017) and the former Board Chair for SolarOne. Sara holds a BA in economics and history from Wellesley College. She also has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Sara is an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s MSRED program.
