Ms. Maureen McAleenan

Maureen has been with Mercy Housing for over 30 years, beginning her journey as an Assistant Manager at senior communities in Daly City and Pacifica. She was quickly promoted to Property Manager, overseeing both properties for seven years. Over the years, Maureen has held several leadership roles including Compliance Specialist, Marketing Director, and National Management Specialist, contributing to 127 housing projects across all of Mercy Housing's national regions. In April 2021, she chose to manage the newly constructed Sister Lillian Murphy Community in San Francisco, a 152-unit affordable housing development named in honor of Mercy Housing's former CEO. Out of deep respect for Sister Lillian's legacy of mission-driven work, Maureen is proud to lead the community that bears her name. That pride was recently amplified when the property received the prestigious 2025 ULI Americas Award for Excellence, an achievement she believes would have made Sister Lillian proud.
