Maggie O'Toole is the chief operating officer / executive vice president at LabCentral and a member of the leadership team responsible for developing and implementing company strategy. She provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the company and oversees six sites including the Pagliuca Harvard Life Lab, a branch of the Harvard Innovation Labs and the Blavatnik Harvard Life Lab, a branch of the Harvard Medical School. Additionally, Maggie directs all expansion projects and major buildouts. Recent projects include the Bayer Co.Lab and P3 in Roxbury. Maggie has more than 30 years of experience in business start-ups working with founders to establish company infrastructure, hire and develop teams, and is ultimately responsible for business management and daily operations. Her areas of expertise include change management with attention to processes, systems, workflows, staffing, contract negotiation, and culture. Prior to LabCentral, she served as director of operations for Pervasis Therapeutics, an early-stage biotech acquired by Shire. She has held management positions with Reputation Technologies; acquired by Security Source, Inc., Synetics, Inc.; acquired by ACS, and Elephant Engineering; acquired by Syntronics, LLC. Maggie is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
