Josh Frieman is a Principal and the Chief Financial Officer of Prime Residential, a West Coast owner and operator of apartment communities, where he leads capital markets, asset management, accounting, tax, legal, compliance, and information technology. Josh joined Prime in 2005 and has held leadership roles managing real estate funds with combined assets of $20 billion across Prime Residential and Prime Finance. In his 20 years with the firm, Josh has played critical roles in acquisitions, investor relations and fund management. Prior to joining Prime, Josh was an advisor to distressed businesses, practiced corporate law with Latham & Watkins and served as the General Counsel for a start-up technology company. Josh graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley and Harvard Law School. He serves on the boards of directors of PRC, which helps San Franciscans affected by mental health and behavioral health issues, as well as Caliber East Bay Real Estate, a non-profit that supports two charter schools.
