Mr. Anupam Yog

Anupam is a creative strategist focused on the intersection of experience design and urban innovation. As Managing Partner of XDG Labs, Anupam is currently involved with urban transformation initiatives through the "Experience Improvement District" (XID) – an innovation for long-term place stewardship and urban governance that focuses on the ecology of place, quality of human connections, and community well-being ultimately enhancing the economic potential and social value of neighbourhoods, districts, and downtowns. XID prototypes are being explored and implemented across the US, Canada, UK, Australia, India and Singapore. At ULI, Anupam has served in a variety of leadership roles. Currently, he is Vice Chair of the ULI APAC Placemaking Product Council, Member of the ULI APAC Awards Jury, and a founding member of the ULI India National Council, where he chairs the Nominations Committee. He is an alumnus of the ULI Health Leaders Network and was invited to join the Advisory Board of the ULI Lewis Center for Sustainability in 2025. Anupam holds a MSc in Sustainable Urban Development from the University of Oxford where his thesis – impact of the Business Improvement District on Place Management in Global Cities – received a distinction. Additionally, he has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Science from the University of Delhi, India. Anupam is an avid practitioner of meditation and initiated The Big Sit in 2020 – an intentional, slow growing social meditation movement – from Singapore. His long term mission is to develop a "Conscious Cities Index", which explores the connection between community well-being and a city's urban design.
