Aaron Aknin

Aaron Aknin, AICP, is a Partner with Good City Company, a Northern California local government consulting firm specializing in planning, economic development, housing, and city management services. Good City currently provides policy planning, major development project management, program implementation and contract staffing services in more than 30 Northern California cities. With more than two decades of municipal leadership experience, Aaron previously served as Assistant City Manager and Community Development Director for Redwood City, where he led a 70-member department and guided downtown revitalization, housing growth, and major infrastructure initiatives. He also held leadership roles in Palo Alto and San Bruno. His work emphasizes transparent public engagement, efficient development processes, and sustained community growth. Aaron is a Bay Area native who currently lives in San Carlos, with his wife and two children.
