This tour will visit USC Village, a $700 million investment and the university’s biggest expansion project ever. Adding more than 2,500 undergraduate beds in 660 units along with eight residential colleges, the complex advances the University of Southern California’s transition to a fully residential university. USC Village represents the biggest mixed-use development in South Los Angeles history, bringing 135,000 square feet of retail, dining, and recreation space to the neighborhood. Anchored by Trader Joe’s and Target Express, USC Village will serve more than 60,000 USC students, faculty, and staff, plus the surrounding community. Six collegiate Gothic buildings were erected in three years, all emanating from a verdant central courtyard that will serve as a new northern center for the university. USC Village will open this August.
