We’re at a critical juncture in responding to both existential threats like climate change and to the very practical shifts in the cost of labor and materials as well as an under-supplied housing market. How are technological advances changing the way we approach the design of our neighborhoods and the construction of our homes to meet these challenges? Are there real-world examples of built products or operational models that can make us more efficient, create a lower carbon footprint and provide high quality places for people to call home?

Andrew Watkins, Chair of RNDC Blue and Principal | Director of Urban Design + Planning will lead a panel discussing embodied carbon, 3D printing and generative design. Nicole Granath will share how Tangible Materials manages embodied carbon through the construction process. Scott Gebicke will showcase Mighty Buildings’ 3D printing delivery methodology. Anthony Giannini will speak to how generative design is transforming the production and sales of housing.
