The role of the development community in creating cities that are more resilient—not just in the face of natural disasters, but also in response to a variety of disruptors—will be discussed at a media lunch titled “Getting Cities Right.” Five nationally renowned urban experts will discuss resilient city building from different perspectives:

  • Robin Chase, ULI J.C. Nichols Prize Laureate and Cofounder, Zipcar, on how technology is making cities more resilient and equitable
  • Jonathan F.P. Rose, President, Jonathan Rose Companies, on building for inclusivity
  • James Murley, Miami-Dade County Chief Resilience Officer, on weather-related resilience
  • Stephanie Meeks, President and CEO, National Trust for Historic Preservation, on building preservation and reuse
  • Patrick L. Phillips, ULI Global CEO, who will moderate the event
