The Port of Los Angeles complex is the second-largest goods gateway in the world, accommodating more than 7 million containers per year representing $300 billion in goods movement. Its size is dwarfed only by its complexity, with 14 terminals handling 16,000 trucks and more than 100 container trains per day. Our tour will be hosted by the port’s executive director, Gene Seroka, formerly a senior executive at American President Lines and an internationally recognized expert in the freight ecosystem, from craftsman to customer. Port leadership will provide an overview of port operations, security, environmental considerations, and economic impact. We will tour terminals from waterside—a unique perspective. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see how a megaport affects every aspect of vertically integrated real estate.
