Emma West is a Partner at Bousfields Inc., a planning and urban design consulting firm in Toronto. With over 25 years of experience in urban and environmental planning for the public and private sector clients, Emma has led a broad range of city-building projects in downtown and suburban locations. Her portfolio of work includes projects at all scales from regional plans to site-specific entitlements across Canada and in the Middle East. In addition to residential and mixed-use developments, Emma has a particular focus on entitlements for colleges, universities, and health care projects as well as large-scale affordable housing projects. As a committed and enthusiastic urbanist, she is an active member of ULI: she is currently Chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative’s Americas Executive Committee; a member of the Americas Executive Committee; a Global Governing Trustee; Chair of the Governance Committee and past Chair of ULI Toronto; and a member of the Urban Revitalization Council.
