Chris Pearson is Senior Vice President of Development and Planning for Hudson Pacific Properties (HPP), a full-service, vertically integrated real estate investment company headquartered in Los Angeles. HPP owns and operates more than 17 million square feet of state-of-the-art office and studio properties. Since joining HPP in 2013, Mr. Pearson as company’s lead on predevelopment and entitlements has been integral in the rapid growth of HPP on the West Coast, and securing high-profile anchor tenants including Fortune 500 and leading growth companies such as Netflix, Google, Square, Uber, NFL Enterprises and more. While at Hudson, Mr. Pearson successfully entitled over 2.5 million square feet of creative office throughout the West Coast and has facilitated the development of over 2 million square feet of creative office. These projects have a value of $1B. He also launched and led Equiblue, a social impact private equity fund.

Prior to HPP, Mr. Pearson led the Office of Economic and Business Policy for then Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa. As the city’s top economic advisor, Mr. Pearson facilitated entitlements for over 5 million square feet of development, including projects such as the USC-University Village Redevelopment Project and Jordan Downs Public Housing.

Mr. Pearson serves as an Executive Board Member for the Central City Association, Loyola Marymount University Board of Regents, and Community Coalition Board of Directors. He is also involved with the Urban Land Institute, World Economic Forum – Global Shapers, and NAIOP.

Mr. Pearson received his undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University and graduated from UCLA Law School with a Juris Doctor degree.
