Alex E. Perlman is the Director, Renewables Development – Americas on the Prologis Energy, Utilities and Battery Storage Team with a focus on developing renewable energy solutions for Prologis’s building customers and utility off-takers. Leading the distribution-scale development team, Alex is focused on site selection, interconnection, investment and entitlements for solar and storage projects in and out of the Prologis portfolio. Alex joined Prologis in June 2019 as a founding member of the Prologis Energy Team and was responsible for the launch of Prologis’s energy programs including SolarSmart, StorageSmart, SolarX, and StorageX. Prior to Prologis, Alex has worked in commercial real estate since 2014 where he held various positions in investments, development, leasing and investment sales at the Oxford Companies. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and studied Global Enterprise and Sustainable Development with a focus on technology commercialization and urban planning; and Entrepreneurship. In Denver, Alex has been active with the Rocky Mountain Microfinance Institute as a mentor to aspiring small business owners.

As real estate firms set decarbonization goals for net zero carbon operations, renewable energy is proving to be a more and more important part of the journey to achieve it.
